Before you can begin installing EBooks onto your handheld computer or read them on your PC, you must first install the Reader for your device.

If you are downloading the Reader for a PalmOS take note of the following: During the install you will be asked to install the Reader for either the Palm and other devices or the Sony Clie (HiRes). If you don't have a Sony Clie built for High Resolution do NOT choose this option.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PC Reader
The PC Reader allows you to read books on your PC. If you are running the program from the CD and you simply click on a book and select to read it on your PC You will be able to read the book on your PC although you will not be able to add annotations and bookmarks, etc. like you can on your handheld. If you want to be able to annotate the books you read on your PC you need to copy the book to the hard drive of your PC. Simply browse the 'ebooks' folder on the cd and copy the books you want to your hard drive. Then double click on them from the hard drive to have the same capabilities you have on your handheld.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PC
FREE READER FOR PC:
1. Place the PDA device in its docking cradle and connect
it to your PC.
2. Insert the CD in the CDROM drive of your
computer. A Menu will automatically open. If the menu
does not open, browse the CDROM and double-click on the
file named 'autorun.exe'.
3. With the Main Menu open select the top button labelled
'Pocket Library'.
4. Click the button labelled 'Free Readers'.
5. Click the button for the type of device you have.
NOTICE: THE LARGE BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM IS FOR INSTALLING A READER FOR VIEWING THE BOOKS ON YOUR PC.

DOWNLOADING TITLES TO YOUR HANDHELD:
A. Open the 'eBooks' folder on the CD or select
'Download Titles' from the menu. Continue to browse to
the folder or category you want.
B. If using the menu, select titles by clicking on them, or
if browsing the CD select titles by double-clicking (or
follow the download instructions that came with your PDA),
noting memory constraints.
C. If a promt opens asking whether you want to read the book
the Reader for PC or to put it on your PDA, select 'Put it
on your PDA'.
D. Synchronize your PDA.
Titles are now available on the PDA.

VIEWING TITLES ON YOUR COMPUTER (NOT AVAILABLE FOR MACINTOSH)
FREE READER FOR YOUR PC:

computer. A Menu will automatically open. If the menu
does not open, browse the CDROM and double-click on the
file named 'autorun.exe'.
2. With the Main Menu open select the top button labelled
'Pocket Library'
3. At the bottom of the screen, click the button
labelled 'Click here to download the PC Reader'.
VIEWING TITLES ON YOUR PC:

'Download Titles' from the menu. Continue to browse to
the folder or category you want.
B. If using the menu, select titles by clicking on them, or
if browsing the CD select titles by double-clicking (or
